My Journey

I have been a Registered Dietitian for over 20 years and have spent most of my career specializing in diabetes care and education. My passion for nutrition began early on, but it was witnessing the transformative power of lifestyle changes in my patients that truly defined my career path.

I believe that everyone deserves to feel their best, and that managing diabetes doesn't mean giving up the joy of eating. My goal is to demystify nutrition and provide you with practical, sustainable tools to manage your blood sugar and improve your overall health.

My Philosophy: Fiber First, Freedom Always

I don't believe in diets. I believe in moderation, movement, and the power of fiber.

🌾

Fiber First

Don't count calories—find fiber. It's the foundation of sustainable health.

🏃

Movement Daily

Keep your body moving. Simple, consistent activity makes all the difference.

💚

Moderation Always

Eat what you love—in moderation. No suffering, no deprivation.

Why I'm Passionate About Fiber

Fiber is a topic that I am truly passionate about, as it plays a critical role in weight loss, blood glucose stabilization, heart health, and gastrointestinal function. Overwhelming and consistent evidence shows that individuals who consume a diet high in fiber have a lower risk of developing cardiovascular disease, Type II diabetes, and obesity.

One of the key reasons why fiber is so effective in promoting health is that it delays gastric emptying, which means that we feel fuller for longer periods of time and are less likely to overeat. Additionally, incorporating fiber into our meals and snacks slows down the release of insulin, which can help regulate blood glucose levels.

Simply adding more fiber to our diets can lead to effortless weight loss by decreasing the consumption of empty calories. By being intentional about incorporating fiber-rich foods into our daily routines, we can reap the numerous benefits of this essential nutrient.

My goal is to help people find food freedom and develop confidence in their daily food choices. I aim to educate clients on high fiber, nutrient dense foods and simple meal planning skills while guiding them toward a balanced lifestyle.

Knowledge is power.
